Metal Materials Engineering is a basic subject of Materials Science and Engineering. The specialty covers several majors, including metallurgy, nonferrous metals, composite materials, powder metallurgy, metal materials heat treatment, materials corrosion and protection, and surface engineering. Students systematically study the basic theory of materials science, master the basic law of composition, structure, manufacturing process, environment and performance of materials, and have the basic ability of materials quality testing, improving materials quality and developing new materials.
Training Objectives:
The training objective is to cultivate the applied technical talents with the all-around development of morality, intelligence, physique and aesthetic, systematical professional theory and basic knowledge, accepting the basic trainings of materials preparation and property analysis & testing, having the basic abilities of designing, manufacturing, optimizing and developing of materials. The students can engage in the manufacturing, testing, designing, technical innovation and management in the fields of metal materials production and processing.
